Johnny Manziel is now playing in the AAF game on NFL Network right now.

It’s just about like you’d expect. He had a great first run, one that looked bizarre as hell (but he got bailed out on a holding call), missed on a pass, and then uncorked a long completion. The drive stalled and they missed a FG. (Memphis is the worst team in the league, after all.)

I couldn’t really care less about him in general, BUT... he is the type of player this league is meant for.  He’s got some potential that could be interesting if he’s ever able to get out of his own way.

I keep forgetting AAF is a thing, and every few weeks I get reminded. Didn’t know Johnny Football was in it, huh. Is Tebow?

I think Tebow is still doing minor league baseball for the Mets?

Thanks for letting me know. I’ll be sure to watch something else. (Watching Indy, actually.)

I’m currently watching my dog play fetch with himself. More entertaining.

On the one hand, good for him for getting another gig.

On the other hand, f this guy. There are so many better people who don’t even get a second chance and he just keeps having things handed to him.

Tebow turned them down, which only makes me believe he’s more interested in his brand than trying to be a QB. Plus he’s still playing baseball, I guess.

Manziel literally just signed last weekend. I'm stunned that he's playing already. I don't know what they think he can do, but might as well try to draw a crowd.

I’ve been watching every week because I’m not really into any other sports, and I have a history of avidly watching upstart or developmental football leagues.

Like I said, I don’t really care about him that much other than if he can help stimulate interest in this league and help them stick  around. The NFL sorely needs a developmental league.

It’s becoming a very interesting game after a blocked punt returned for a TD followed by a good return. But I don't blame you for ignoring it like, oh, 99% of the country.

I actually ended up watching the last quarter. Indeed, an entertaining game. Manziel got yanked?

He was doing ok, but he’s had what, maybe two days of practice? I think it was crazy they didn’t try to use him at the goal line there at the end.

You’ve probably seen this proposal, but at the end of the season the AAF championship team should get to play the lowest ranked NFL team, winner goes to the NFL loser to the AAF.

It’s a good idea, no NFL owner would ever let that happen.

I think that next year when the new XFL starts, the XFL and AAF should play each other at the end of their seasons . I know they have different rules but that’s easily solved. Just have them alternate hosting, and whichever league hosts gets to use their rules.

Agreed on the final part. College football is kind of that part though.
